State Senator Jim Beall and the South Bay Labor Council are hosting two phone-banking sessions this week supporting Ben Hueso, the endorsed candidate to replace retiring State Senator Michael Rubio. Central Committee needs volunteers: We need a door monitor and someone to hand out and collect name badges. Since the County Office Building closes at 6 pm, we need a door monitor from 6:15 to 7:15 to make sure Central Committee meeting attendees can get in. We're also looking for someone to hand out name badges at the beginning of the meeting and collect them afterward. Headquarters is also looking for volunteers! This is an especially great opportunity for students looking to fill community service hours. Office hours are 10-2, Monday through Friday. Contact Judy (see above) for more info.
