Dianne Feinstein Calls for Ban on Assault Weapons

Offering President Obama “a bill to lead on,” Senator Dianne Feinsein announced that she will introduce an assault weapons ban on the first day of the new Congress. The legislation would ban the sale, transfer, importation and possession of assault rifles as well as ban the sale of clips of more than ten bullets.  "The purpose of this bill is to get ... weapons of war off the streets," said Feinstein, a longtime supporter of stricter gun laws.
