                a. Appointment of Bylaws Review Committee

                Request to appoint a Bylaw committee approved, Helen Chapman will chair committee comprised of Peter Allen, Peter Chiu, Sousan                   Manteghi-Safakish and Lucas Ramirez

 

                b. Review Process to Fill SCCDC Director Positions to be appointed at March 2, 2017 meeting

                Google document available for anyone wanting to submit an application for appointment for director position.

                Information presented on opportunity to establish relationships with clubs in swing states with our local clubs.

Democratic Television Producer Emeritus Steve Chessin reported that we had no taping in August.

Our guest in September was Helen Chapman, candidate for San Jose City Council for District 6.

Our guest in October was Esther Peralez-Dieckmann, Director of the Santa

Clara County Office of Women's Policy and Treasurer of DAWN (Democratic Activists for Women Now).

We did not have a show in November, nor in December.

Our guest in January was incoming County Chair Bill James, interviewed by outgoing County Chair Steve Preminger.

Bill will also replace Steve as host of DTV. Our guest in February is TBD.

We could still use more good Democrats on the crew. No prior video experience is necessary.

 

p. Pro-Choice Coalition: Claudia Shope

On 2-11-17 from 10:00 to 2:00 pm there will be a pro-choice rally at 1671 The Alameda.  This rally will be to counter the

anti-choice people.  Traditionally on 2-11-17 the anti-choice people come out to attack women’s rights.  Please join us there to protect

reproductive rights.
